Irresistibly warming and sweet, this cold-weather comfort gets a mini upgrade with rich java brewed into the mix and a splash of Torani's Butter Pecan Syrup. As always, please enjoy responsibly.

I woke up the other day to a chill in the air and I'm not going to lie, I felt a little sad...almost anxious. I realized in that moment just how quickly the year is passing by.

The truth is, no matter how crazy or unpredictable things may seem, time is impatient and waits for no one. As the saying goes, the days may feel long, but the years are short. Needless to say, the seasonal shift was an important reminder for me to enjoy the waning days of summer and make the most of each passing moment.

There is something however, quite comforting about autumn's early arrival. The word alone conjures feelings of nostalgia, like an old friend from the past coming back for a visit.

Soon we'll be preparing our homes for the winter comforts we relish- warm blankets, half-read books, hearty meals, and soothing drinks to savor by a fire, while off in the distance, woodsmoke seasons the evening sky. Fall reminds us what life is all about by centering us again and bringing us back to where it all began- home.

Today's recipe was inspired by the recent change in the air and the early, unexpected arrival of autumn in New York.

As you all may know, we are big coffee drinkers here at LTG. Everyone has their own preference and while I usually opt for just a hot cup of coffee with a splash of milk, I was inspired by the delicious flavor of Torani's Butter Pecan Syrup to create something seasonal for you today.

The Torani Butter Pecan Syrup adds a sweet, rich flavor to the drink without having to actually add melted butter, making this recipe a lightened-up version of the classic if you will. I cooked the syrup down with dark rum, grated nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla just until it thickened slightly, then poured it straight into a cup of freshly brewed coffee. Finish it off with a dollop of fresh whipped cream and an additional sprinkle of cinnamon, if you so desire.

This Hot Buttered Rum Coffee is a perfect welcome to the cooler seasons ahead. It's easy to prepare and so comforting on those brisk evenings outdoors. Be sure to pick up the Torani Butter Pecan at your local grocery today. It makes the process so much easier and even more delicious.

💡Pro tip: Add a tablespoon of Torani Butter Pecan to your cream before whipping it. It is also delicious swirled in ice cream!
