Delicate phyllo pastry shells are filled with a sweet jammy peach filling, then finished off with a dollop of whipped cream for a dessert that is unexpectedly satisfying and elegant.
With the summer season winding down, I have one last seasonal treat to share before we officially declare Autumn's arrival.
These peach tartlets are one of my favorite desserts recently. They're also incredibly versatile so you can use quite a few variations which we review below.
Variations
- Fruit Fillings - Apples, cherries, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, nectarines, or pineapple would all be fine substitutes. The recipe for the filling stays the same. If you'd like to give these a bit of an Autumn touch, trie apples with warm spices. They will be like little mini apple pies and sure to dress up any tablescape.
- Toppings - Freshly whipped cream, mascarpone, crème fraîche, even ice cream are all suitable toppings. You can skip the fresh mint entirely or swap it some a dash of cinnamon, grated nutmeg, or pumpkin spice. You can even make an icing drizzle instead.
- Pastry Shells - These phyllo cups come prepackaged and ready to use, perfect when you want something quick and easy. However, if you have some time on your hands you can certainly use puff pastry shells instead and fit them to a mini muffin tin. Pie crust would also work very well.

- Berry Hand Pies - Sweet, flaky pastry crusts are filled with a medley of berries for the sweetest treat.
- Pecan Tartlets - Today’s recipe features a rich, moist pecan filling swathed in layers of crisped buttery phyllo dough, which combine to create a warming winter dessert.
- Strawberry and Rhubarb Pies with Vegan Whipped Cream - These Strawberry and Rhubarb Pies are a perfect dessert to enjoy the summer evenings with. We’re serving ours with a cool Vegan Whipped Cream topping for the ultimate indulgence.

Catherine, Just got back from a road trip...gathering materials for my blog site. I'm now trying to catch up with posts from other bloggers. Love the eye candy appeal of this relatively simple dessert/sweet treat. I could easily down 4 of these peach tartlets on my own! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
