Summer afternoons, post workout, or simply a family movie night at home - JOLLY TIME Pop Corn is a new and favorite delicious snack of mine that not only tastes good, but is also good for you!
I'm going to lift the veil a bit today, if you'll so indulge me as I go a little off topic. Anyone who knows me personally, knows that I have an undying love for a miniature chocolate poodle named ‘Inka.' Grouchy in his old age, and recovering from a recent string of health scares, he's quite, shall we say, set in his ways. His ‘ways' including such activities as taking long naps in the hallway under the skylight, leisurely walks around the neighborhood, and patrolling the house with his favorite toy, grit firmly between his teeth.
Via our long walks through the neighborhood, I've made a number of close friends, including another dog owner who lives a few blocks down right on the bay. Like Inka, her dog has advanced in age, and due to a number of health issues she's not keen on leaving him home alone. A few weeks ago, she was in need of someone to stay with her dog for a couple of hours, and naturally I hadn't the heart to say no, and so I've used the opportunities as an excuse to slow down and relax for a bit.
This usually takes the form of sitting out by the bay with a warm weather snack and something cold, since this is thankfully also her dog's idea of an ideal time. Now, I've spoken a lot about my preference for healthful snacks, and my own fitness journey here on Living the Gourmet, and believe me when I say the temptation for ‘unhealthy' snacks is still quite real – especially when paired with a spectacular view of the bay, a warm summer day, and a cool drink.
It was during this particular afternoon that I was introduced to a low calorie, fiber-filled, great tasting popcorn – JOLLY TIME Pop Corn. It's all natural, and whole grain, meaning I don't have to worry about derailing my fitness regimen.
Recently, I had received this beautiful package with a delicious variety of JOLLY TIME Pop Corn including a resistor strap to help motivate me further in living a healthy lifestyle.
So, after fixing one of my signature homemade iced teas, or fresh lemonades, I just popped this in this microwave, and I had a delicious, fitness friendly snack for the afternoon.
Recently, I've also begun replacing some of my ‘downtime snack' with JOLLY TIME Pop Corn, such as the chips, pretzels, and other high-calorie, salt heavy snacks that I so often crave after a long day working on the site. So with JOLLY TIME Pop Corn I can now give in to my temptation to snack a bit more often, and without any worry about setting myself back. There are some delicious snack options to mix it up a little like the Trail Mix Pop Corn or the Basil Garlic Pop Corn!

Dear Catherine,
Loved popcorn and have used Jolly time before. I could smell the popcorn from here. Popcorn is a healthy snack. There is something about popcorn that you just have to keep eating it. Thanks now I am off to make some popcorn..you made me hungry! Blessed week...

I always forget how much I love popcorn, but now I'm totally craving it! Another one of my favorite healthy snacks is rice cakes with almond butter and honey. SO yummy!
