In the spirit of the nearing holidays, I decided to prepare Panettone French Toast. It makes a for a delicious breakfast and a many fond memories.

Dear Catherine, I love Panettone bread. Every Christmas I get one for my parents. They love it toasted with a little butter. But I have made it as a french toast as well. Being Italian when I was young we always had that bread around. Like you said it was usually at Christmas, but now a days you can get it at any time of the year. Your recipe is a little different that what I would make so I will try your version. It looks so delicious on the plate. I love a good french toast, especially with a little pure syrup. Thanks for sharing this one, and you are correct the holidays are around the corner...too fast...Have a blessed week dear friend...Dottie :)

I don't like Panettone even though my husband love it very much. But then I think I will love Panettone French Toast:) French toast will make the boring and bland panettone taste much more enticing. (Yes, I somehow felt panettone alone is too bland, may be because mine was grocery store bought and not freshly made...)

I've not used panetone before. Just never saw a gluten free variety, and bread baking is not my strong suit. I do love french toast, though. Simple and elegant at the same time.
