Ingredients:
4 tablespoons butter
½ heaping cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon ground oolong tea
1 cup all-purpose flour
Confectioner’s sugar for rolling the dough
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl whip butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add 1 egg and vanilla. Stir in flour and oolong tea until a very soft and moist cookie dough forms.
Pour about ½ cup of confectioner’s sugar in a small bowl.
Scoop out about a teaspoon amount of cookie dough and roll in confectioner’s sugar. Place on prepared cookie sheets and flatten out with bottom of a glass.
Bake for about 8 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Transfer cookies to a cooling rack.
Serve with your favorite tea and enjoy!
Living the Gourmet is happy to welcome back Teavivre, a high-quality line of pure Chinese Tea.
We received a wonderful assortment of their organic Oolong teas, a clean and mildly sweet blend. It has a natural sweetness that almost resembles honey. The tea itself has a light golden color and has been a true delight to review.

Dear Catherine, Love these cookies. A perfect way to enjoy a cup of tea. Years ago my grandmother would buy me a box of brown edge cookies. These remind me of those, which I loved. A lovely recipe, and I also think I will enjoy that Teavivre, tea. As you know I love tea in any shape of form. Also, a great cookie to celebrate Chinese New Year with...Thanks...Blessings Dottie 🙂
