    Birthday Recap

Written by Living the Gourmet, a trusted food and lifestyle site since 2008.

Thank you so much everyone for all the lovely Birthday wishes and messages...it truly made my day even more wonderful 🙂

So today I thought I would share with you guys some delicious details about my day.  No recipes just some photo fun! Of course though expect to see the recipes to appear throughout the week on LTG. Here are some little tidbits to get you hungry 😉

Mom wanted to know what I wanted for my birthday...some of you may think I'm totally nuts here but honestly all I wanted was a good burger and baked fries! 😀 An All-American meal.

Mom made the burgers and fries...and then some...

Mmmm Asparagus is my absolute favorites. Haha.

When Mom pulled these out of the oven I flipped.  Ooooh this chicken was good! Just wait until we post the recipe! ;D

A totally unexpected but always delicious side ^_^

Crispy Baked Fries are soooo amazing! Plus they are too easy to make.  Here's the recipe if you want to try them!

Last but certainly not least.  These are like the best burgers my Mom has ever made. E-V-E-R. I cannot stress it enough.  I don't know how she made them, but I will be eagerly awaiting that recipe along with all of you.

I always get a strawberry shortcake for my birthday.  It is my absolute favorite cake.  This year I had this wonderful Fresh Strawberry-Vanilla Four Layer Cake served with Strawberry Greek Yogurt Frosting.  It exceeded all of our expectations.  I can't wait for you all to see the post on it!
    ---

Well, that was the tale of my Birthday Feast, and it was marvelous!

Everything fell right into place.  The sun was shining, the sky was clear and blue, and the temperatures were perfect.

So thank you.  Again.  Because I cannot thank you enough for making me feel like a celebrity 😉 hehehe...

And thank you to my family.  To my mom for that beautiful poem I woke up to.  To my brother for always being the best.  And to everyone else for all the memories.

I couldn't be more blessed.  The greatest present of all was being with the ones I love the most in this world.

"Sunlight fell upon the wall; the wall received a borrowed splendor.  Why set your heart on a piece of earth, O simple one? Seek out the source which shines forever." -Rumi

Tammy... Wow! I think that your mom might like you just a bit! What a spread! I used my immagination and devoured some of that great looking chicken and those fries...and I finished the asparagus! Just about my favorite vegetable! Great birthday feast! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
