“Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire.” ― Gustav Mahler
When I wrote my first post for Living the Gourmet, it was just a food diary back then for me. I could never have predicted it would have grown into the website it has with such an engaging community. Regardless of the progress this little site has made, the focus has always remained the same- a place where family is celebrated through tradition, food, laughter, and ultimately, love.
These core values are also shared by our new friends over at TruEats which is what caught my attention initially upon discovering them.
TruEats is a family owned company that specializes in wholesome baking mixes that are sugar-free, plant-based, gluten-free, and nutritious. Their journey begins in the early 1900s and their passion for preserving and sharing naturally derived products have been passed down through generations.
I've become a big fan of their Pancake & Waffle Mix, but you can also shop their Dutch Chocolate Muffin & Cake Mix and Brownie Mix, as well as their natural Monk Fruit Sweetener for all other treats you'd like to bake.
When it comes to heavier breakfasts like waffles or pancakes, it's something I try to indulge in seldomly (usually on weekends) since it can leave me feeling weighed down throughout the day, but I can honestly admit that after trying TruEats, I didn't have the same feeling afterwards. That's because the ingredients are all completely natural. The mix is naturally high in protein and fiber, giving your body nourishment and energy.
The Pancake & Waffle Mix comes together in a snap. With just three additional ingredients you can have a stack of the lightest waffles (or pancakes) that are as good for you as they taste. Slightly nutty, subtly sweet, you can even add a splash of vanilla or a dash of cinnamon to the mix!
Right now, TruEats a Super Holiday Sale, so be sure to check them out and order their baking mixes today just in time for Christmas morning and New Year!

I love waffles, but I've never had gluten free waffles before. I am going to have to try them out soon. They seem much healthier than the waffles I've been eating.
