Sweet and Spicy Ginger String Beans
I think that is the key! Everyone needs sweet and everyone needs that little bit of spice to wake up the senses.
2 ½ lbs. of fresh string beans
4 cloves of garlic – chopped
1 red onion – sliced
2 inch piece of fresh ginger – chopped
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Dressing:
¼ tsp. red pepper flakes
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. black pepper
½ tsp. garlic powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon Vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
Gently simmer the string beans until tender.
Heat a large frying pan with olive oil; add the onions, garlic and ginger and sauté until the garlic is fragrant and the onions are slightly golden.
Lift the string beans out of the water with a slotted spoon and carefully add them to the sautéed garlic, onions and ginger. Sauté the sting beans for another minute or two.
Mix the ingredients for the dressing and add to the string beans.
Enjoy with Love,
Catherine
