~ Anise Cookies ~

Ingredients:
3 egg yolks
1 tsp baking soda
7 tbs. Butter
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
Zest and juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp anise seeds
Into a medium sized bowl, sift together the flour, sugar and baking soda and set aside.
In a mix master cream the butter and sugar.  While on low speed add the eggs, lemon juice and zest and the anise seeds.
While on low speed, slowly add the dry ingredients.
Preheat Oven 350 degrees:
Roll into small walnut size balls and press down.
Place formed cookies on parchment paper or a butted cookie sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes or until slightly golden.
Remove the cookies from the pan and place on a cooling rack.
These cookies taste like you just bought them at the bakery!
