Living the Gourmet is pleased to present Sparkling ICE.
The product line behind what has become the fastest growing non-alcoholic beverage company in the US is a crisp, refreshing mountain spring water. Naturally flavored, naturally zero-calories, packed with antioxidants, and only lightly carbonated, ICE seems to have struck a perfect balance between flavor, healthfulness, and current market trends, all of which has allowed ICE to set the beverage market on fire.
Currently available in a wide variety of thirteen flavors, including such items as Lemon Lime, Kiwi Strawberry, Coconut Pineapple, Orange Mango, Pomegranate Blueberry, Pink Grapefruit, and my personal favorite Black Raspberry, there is a flavor for you no matter your preference. Sparkling ICE has dedicated extensive time and resources to consumer research, as well as product and flavor development, and it shows strongly in what they have produced, and the success they are enjoying.
Needless to say, I was very pleased with what I received, and can confidently recommend the beverage to anyone looking for healthy, refreshing, and flavorful alternative.
Sparkling ICE Glaze
Ingredients:
1 ½ cups Sparkling ICE – Black raspberry – flavor or your preference of flavor
2 tablespoons sugar
½ cup balsamic vinegar
Place all of the ingredients in a small saucepot and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and simmer until syrupy and the mixture is reduced by one third.
Turn off the heat and let the pot sit to cool on stove for about 20 minutes.
Refrigerate and keep in airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
This is a delicious glaze for on top of fresh fruit, delicious for chicken, bbq ribs, grilled veggies or for salad.
Grilled Veggie and Pineapple Salad
Ingredients:
1 head of Romaine lettuce
1 eggplant – peeled and quartered into bite size pieces
1 cup of fresh pineapple chunks
1 sweet onion – sliced
3 cloves garlic – chopped
½ cup fresh basil – chopped
1 bell pepper – sliced
¼ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. red pepper flakes
¼ tsp. black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
Fresh croutons – for garnish
Heat a large frying pan with the olive oil.
Add the onions to sauté until slightly golden. Add the bell pepper slices and the garlic to sauté on a low heat.
While the peppers are sautéing; heat a separate frying pan with a drizzle of olive oil and add the eggplant cubes. Do not over crowd the pan. Let the eggplant become a beautiful golden color then transfer to the frying pan with the peppers and onions to continue to sauté on low. Add the pineapple to the pan and toss. Sauté for another minute or two.
Season the pan with salt, pepper and red pepper flakes; add the basil and toss. Place on a bed of Romaine lettuce leaves and garnish with fresh croutons and the balsamic glaze.
This is delicious over fresh fruit as well.
Enjoy with Love,
Catherine
