The food that we grew up with was simple and delicious. That food today is considered “gourmet” in many circles and quite “pricey” to eat out. Mom would love to know she was a “gourmet” of the kitchen.

We ate so much escarole in our house when I was a kid, Catherine that the only way I knew how to say it was in Italian! I still do:) This is one of my favorite ways. My mother would be very surprised to learn she too was a "gourmet." I guess that would make my father a Chef because he made an escarole soup that I still dream about today:)
Thanks for sharing, Catherine...

This pasta dish sounds really good. Not eating a lot of different Italian dishes I was surprised at the raisins (which I love). I bet their sweetness is delicious with the pasta. Thank you for sharing on the Four Seasons Blog Hop! have a great weekend!
