I would not think to take a banana and eat it. They have never appealed to me BUT in a cake, they are yummy and with the rum, the combination sounds extraordinary.

      Hi Catherine,
I was wondering why I wasn’t keeping up with your latest posts when I realized I didn’t change to your new address in my sidebar. It’s been changed now and not a minute too late. Just look at that gorgeous cake. I love the combination of banana rum. Don’t laugh but it reminds me of butterscotch for some reason, lol…I’ so glad to see this cake starts with a mix. You know me and baking, lol…

Thank you so much for sharing, Catherine…I think we should all get together and “sample” this delicious looking cake over tea:)

Hey Catherine, I discovered your post over at the linky party on Katherine’sCorner. My family is from the carribean, where we love to indulge in rum cake, but I’ve never heard of, nor thought of, banana rum cake. It sounds absolutely delicious, and fairly simple to make. Thanks for sharing this recipe Catherine!
Anyway, I hope that you’ll check out my latest project here (http://youtu.be/uhRB1PmO61A) and let me know what you think. All the best.

I only eat bananas when they are paired with alcohol (like Bananas Foster), so I would enjoy this particular banana cake! Thank you for sharing.
