There are words that describe life; though in a word; bread. For it comes in many forms. There is bread that identifies each. It is a staple that brings together the masses. Bread defines a culture and is the gold that is harvested from the land.
Bread Wash :

Ingredients:
Sliced white bread
Butter
Powdered sugar
Syrup
3 eggs
1 tsp. powdered sugar
½ tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. salt
½ cup milk
¼ tsp. cinnamon
Combine the above ingredients for the bread wash in a shallow bowl and beat with fork.
Heat a griddle with a pat of butter. Do not have the heat too high or the butter will burn.
Dip the bread in the wash on both sides and place on a griddle. Do not soak the bread or it will fall apart.
Enjoy with Love,

Hi Catherine and Tammy, great recipe on French Toast. I love this recipe. Have made this many times on the griddle, like you. I have not used these ingredients, I will now. Years ago I remember my mom frying them in oil. On the griddle is a perfect way to cook it. Looks delicious...I think I will make this today..Thanks for sharing..Blessings on a great weekend. Dottie 🙂

One of my favorite childhood breakfasts! My mom would always add a pinch of nutmeg, but cinnamon sounds wonderful, too 🙂
