Creamy Mashed Potatoes & Music Monday

Ingredients:
5 lbs. potatoes
1 cup milk
1 cup sour cream
4 tbs. butter
Dashes of salt
Dashes of black pepper
Dashes of garlic powder
Skin and boil potatoes until fork tender.
Drain and place in deep bowl while still hot.  Add the butter, sour cream and milk and spices and mash.
You may adjust the milk and sour cream to your liking.
These are creamy and delicious to add to any meal.

    Delicious Catherine...I always use fresh garlic in mine though as I don't have powdered garlic in.

    Catherine, I hate to admit this but we've fooled many guests with our great homemade mashed potatoes...requiring little effort and hard to beat...from the grocery store and Bob Evans. This is one of the very few pre-made food products that comes very close to homemade. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

    My mother was adding garlic and sour cream to mashed potatoes 60 years ago - it's the only way I ever remember making them but sometimes when I make mashed potatoes (not often, I don't like potatoes) I put in whipped cream cheese because I rarely have sour cream in the house...

    And yes they are creamy and delicious...

    You season the potatoes after they have been cooked. I've never done it this way before. I'll have to give this a try. Sure looks good.
