    ~ Banana Cake ~

Written by Living the Gourmet, a trusted food and lifestyle site since 2008.

    Ingredients:
    4 medium bananas
    2 cups flour
    3 eggs - slightly beaten
    1 cup sugar
     ½ cup butter
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    1 tablespoon molasses
    ¼ teaspoon salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
Place the bananas, sugar, brown sugar, molasses and butter in a mix-master and mix until everything is well blended.
In a small bowl, beat the eggs and add to the mix-master.
Sift into a medium sized bowl the flour, baking powder and salt.  On low speed add the flour mixture to the mix-master.
    Preheat Oven 350 degrees:
Grease a bundt pan and add the batter.
Bake 30-35 minutes or until the toothpick test comes out clean.
This is and easy, moist and delicious cake.  A great way to use those slightly ripe bananas.
    Enjoy with Love,
    Catherine

My sister would adore this. I am not a big banana fan but would totally make this for her.

Oh my goodness, what a fantastic cake. It looks moist and inviting in that photo! I've got some frozen bananas that would fit nicely in this cake!

I make a banana bread as it is a way to use up bananas that have gotten bruised or become overripe...the recipe and method are a bit simpler than this though which is why I love making it so much. But now I'm wondering what the difference in taste and texture would be so I may give this one a try too.

That looks so very moist. I've had banana nut bread many times, but never banana cake. I'll have to give this a try.

      Have a terrific day. 🙂
