    Warm Red Cabbage Salad!!!

    1 head of red cabbage - sliced thin
    1 bunch of scallions - chopped
    1 jalapeño - sliced with seeds
    2 inch piece of ginger - sliced
    3 stalks of celery - sliced
    5 cloves of garlic - sliced
    1 tsp. sesame oil
    Drizzle of olive oil

    Dressing:

    3 tablespoons soy sauce
    2 tablespoons orange marmalade
    ½ tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 tablespoons vinegar

    Heat a large frying pan with the sesame oil and a drizzle of olive oil. Add the ginger, jalapeño, celery, scallions and garlic to gently sauté.

    Add the red cabbage and allow the cabbage cook down partially. Remove to a large salad bowl.

    Combine the ingredients for the dressing and add to the salad. Adjust the ingredients for the dressing to taste.


    This is a delicious salad served warm or cold.

      Hey Catherine, hope all is well with you. When my boys were little, my mom would make them purple cabbage and they LOVED it!
      Brings back memories for me, being as though one just recently passed away. Great post I will put this on my facebook. have a great evening.

      I love this salad better than cold one: red cabbage takes time to soft up in the salad. I make it one day to eat the next. This one is great! Thanks for the recipe!
