International Bacon Day is around the corner (Aug. 30), reminding us of one of the most savory and sizzling occasions. In anticipation of the festive food holiday, renowned Chef Marcel Cocit, a widely known celebrity chef and caterer, is here today to share with us his bacon-inspired creations and designs!

Meet the Chef
Marcel was born in Brazil and raised in Queen's, New York. He started his culinary career in New York working as a Private Chef for many prominent families and relocated to Los Angeles in 2000 and began catering private events for celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt, Lisa Maria Presley, Maya Rudolph, George Clooney, Larry King and Ryan Seacrest to list a few. He has appeared on the Food Network, E-Channel, Style Network, ABC, Hallmark Channel, FYI, MTV and Kcal 9 News. He also has been a regular on the CBS Thanksgiving Day Parade Special along with KCAL 9 News whipping up some of his favorite recipes. He is in constant demand as a caterer for films, TV shows, corporate events and weddings and always brings his warm and engaging style to every job.
Marcel is creative and innovative and has a strong passion for food. His focus is on freshness, quality, and simplicity. The end result is good, clean, real food.
