These rich, fudgy cupcakes are the best of both worlds - brownies and candy bars.

Living the Gourmet: Candy Bar Brownie Cupcakes

I have an insatiable sweet-tooth.

I didn't even bother giving up dessert for Lent because I know it would be a lost cause. All the more reason, why I should have given it up, right? I have tried it in the past, but each time, I have failed. So this year, I decided not to set myself up for failure. Instead, I decided to give up going for seconds...and snacking. My progress thus far is for another day...I digress as usual.

Baking is my therapy. Everyone who knows me can attest to that. Baking centers me and without fail, it sets me in a good mood. Dessert is definitely my best friend...and my worst enemy. I am sure some most of you can agree on that.

On that note, I adjusted the measurements and used only half the brownie mix so this recipe should make about half a dozen cupcakes. Now you won't have a bunch of cupcakes whispering your name at night to go eat them. After all, it is all about moderation right?

Well, Catherine, there are times I'm relieved I'm not a chocoholic! This is even making ME drool. Of course, I must save the recipe for my kids and grandkids...what a hit it will be!

Tammy, We will be in trouble when my wife sees this recipe! She loves brownies and she loves Snicker's candy bars! I can only hope that she holds herself to half a batch like you did... Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

You're so funny Tammy. You sound like my daughter who rarely bakes anything sweet for fear that she will eat them all, lol...Mind you, she has two children who would happily help her. I'll have to suggest to her to bake half the recipes or to freeze them!

This Brownie Cupcakes strikes all kinds of yummy chords, brownies, cupcakes and candy, oh my!

Thanks for sharing, Tammy...Hi to Mom:)

Smart girl, Louise! Of course not baking isn't really an option with LTG in my life. Cest la vie! 😉

We freeze some our goodies too. It's actually a nice idea because some nights when I don't feel like baking, I can just pull it out of the freezer.

Thank you for your sweet words. Have a wonderful day. xoxo

    Dear Tammy,
What a great idea to add the candy to these delicious brownies. I have given up chocolate for Lent and that is so hard as I LOVE chocolate...but I do have a box of brownie mix in the pantry waiting till lent is over, so I will save this recipe for then. The Snickers is a great candy bar to use as it has nuts with the brownie mix must be amazing. I am printing this one out...Have a great relaxing day, Thanks for sharing...
    Dottie 🙂

Wishing you all the best during Lent. I can't wait for your to try these! ^_^

      xo,
      Tammy
