    Warm Sautéed Lettuce Salad

Written by Living the Gourmet, a trusted food and lifestyle site since 2008.

When we cook we should take a journey and not be afraid of trying something that is slightly different from the usual, such as warm salad.

This is true with life sometimes we have to gently trust our instincts and take a deep breath and pray.

    Ingredients:
1 head of lettuce - sliced
4 cloves of garlic - chopped
1 bell pepper - sliced - (any color)
    ½ onion - sliced
1 inch piece of fresh ginger - chopped
    3-4 tablespoons of soy sauce
    ½ tsp. salt
    ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
    2 tablespoons - olive oil
Heat a large frying pan with the olive oil.  Add the garlic, sliced onion, sliced bell pepper and ginger and let the garlic become fragrant.
Add the lettuce and sauté until slightly wilted.  Add the soy sauce, salt, red pepper flakes and toss.
This serves as a nice side vegetable dish.
    Enjoy with Love,
    Catherine

Catherine, That is a beautiful warm salad...or veggie side dish! If it tastes as good as it looks, it should be very satisfying too... Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

I have seen sauteed lettuce recipes before, but this is the first one that looked delicious. I'll have to try it! Best wishes from the Midwest.

Delicious! This would be a perfect side in the summer for a grilled meal with burgers, chicken, etc.

I love all things salad and I'd love this just fine. Good for you too.

Have a terrific day Catherine. Big hugs from chilly California. 🙂
