    Old Fashioned Oatmeal Raisin Cookies!!!

Written by Living the Gourmet, a trusted food and lifestyle site since 2008.

    Adapted from: Quaker Oats

    Ingredients:

    ½ cup butter - softened
    ¾ cup brown sugar
    ½ cup granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 ½ cups all-purpose flour - sifted
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 cups Quaker Oats - (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
    1 cup raisins

    Preheat Oven 350 degrees:

In a mix-master combine butter and sugars and mix until creamy.

Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Add flour, baking soda and cinnamon and mix well.

Add oats and raisins and mix well.

Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 8-10 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool on wire rack.

These cookies are delicious and will disappear quickly!

    With Love,

    Catherine

I love oatmeal cookies! These look divine! Sometimes for a change I'll replace the raisins with carob chips so the hubby will eat them, but when feeling selfish I do raisins...more for me! 😉

Did you homeschool your children through graduation? We seem to be lacking people locally who are schooling all the way through, feeling like a rare breed, here.

      Have a lovely weekend!

These do enter my oatmeal cookie loving hard - love that nothing is skimped and love how bumpy they look - all that flavor in every bite.
