Chocolate Chip Pretzel CookiesA soft, rich cookie base speckled with chunks of dark chocolate and bits of pretzels- sweet and salty lovers rejoice! These chocolate chip pretzel cookies are best served warm with a cup of tea. We served ours up with fragrant raw Pu-erh tea courtesy of Teavivre.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate morsels

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line two cookies sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat sugars, eggs, vanilla, and vegetable oil until creamy.
  3. Add flour, ½ cup at a time until a soft dough comes together.
  4. Add pretzels and chocolate chips, and mix just until everything is well incorporated.
  5. Scoop a tablespoon of dough and slightly flatten onto prepared cookie sheets.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Just until the edges are slightly golden. Remove and transfer to a wire rack.
  7. In the meantime, boil loose tea and strain. Serve and enjoy.

  • Cook Time: 10 minutes
