Ingredients
- 1/2 stick butter, chilled and grated
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8x8 square baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Blend flour, sugar, and butter together.
- Pat the cookie dough to the prepared baking dish.
- Using a dough cutter, smooth the dough and then gently, score the dough into the desired size bars. Do not cut all the way down. Finally, take a fork and prick the dough.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until golden.
- Remove and let cool slightly in the baking dish before transferring to a wire rack.
- Gently lift the shortbreads from the dish, using the overlapping parchment. And let cool until warm. The following the scored lines, gently slice the shortbreads.
- Serve with your favorite tea and enjoy!
