Ingredients
- 8 oz. block of cream cheese - softened
- 1 tsp. of lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1/2 tsp. of fresh ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. of grated fresh nutmeg
- 1/4 cup of crisped bacon
- 1/4 cup of fresh grated Romano cheese or Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup of chopped scallions
- 2 tbs. heavy cream
Instructions
- Leave the cream cheese out for about a half an hour or so to ensure it is room temperature for mixing.
- Mix the cream cheese with the heavy cream, using a spatula or fork, add the lemon zest, grated cheese, lemon zest, lots of fresh ground black pepper, scallions and crisped bacon.
- Mix gently until well incorporated.
- Serve with scallion and crisped bacon garnish.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
