5 Ingredient Flatbreads (no yeast)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour - plus more for dusting
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 4 tbs. olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water - added 4 tablespoons at a time

Instructions

  1. Place the flour in a large bowl.
  2. Make a well in the middle of the flour and add the baking powder and salt.
  3. Add the oil and the water and using a fork, stir the flour.
  4. Add the water 4 tablespoons at a time, until you get a nice soft, bouncy dough.
  5. Once the mixture comes together, the dough will be sticky but moist and soft.
  6. Knead the dough for about one minute and pat with flour.
  7. Cut a chunk of dough and form into a ball.
  8. Dust the surface with flour and roll out the dough nice and thin.
  9. Heat a dry, large cast iron frying pan.
  10. Place the flatbread in the pan and when you see bubbles form and rise, turn over and finish cooking.
  11. Serve with your favorite dishes.
