Ingredients

  • 1 tbs. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 4 cups sliced apples - peeled
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 pint fresh blueberries
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsps. baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tbs. lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven 350 degrees F.
  2. Place the cornstarch, cinnamon, cloves, ½ cup of sugar in the bottom of a casserole dish and mix.
  3. Toss the sliced apples and blueberries into the dish and mix.
  4. In a food processor combine the flour, baking powder, ½ cup of sugar, and the butter.
  5. Process until the mixture resembles a coarse cornmeal texture.
  6. Add in the eggs and process until dough-crumb-like texture.
  7. Bake 45 – 50 minutes or until the mixture is bubbly and the crumb topping is a beautiful golden color.
