Ingredients
- 5 - Boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thickness)
- Dashes of salt
- Dashes of black pepper
- Drizzle of olive oil
For the Sauce:
- 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1 large onion - sliced
- 2 cups frozen peas
- Dashes of salt
- Dashes of black pepper
- Dashes of ground oregano
- Dashes of garlic powder
- Pinch of sugar
- Dashes of chili powder
- Healthy handful of fresh basil - chopped
- 2 stalks celery - chopped
- 1 1/2 cups fresh bread crumbs
- Grated Romano or Parmesan cheese
- Olive oil for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat Oven 350 degrees.
- Drizzle a little olive oil in a baking pan. Place the pork chops in the pan and season with salt and pepper and another drizzle of olive oil.
- Top with the sliced onions, chopped garlic, fresh basil, celery and the crushed tomatoes. Add the seasonings and peas and top with the fresh bread crumbs.
- Drizzle a little olive oil over this and top and finish with the grated cheese.
- Place in the oven for 50-55 minutes, depending on the thickness of the pork chops you are using.
