Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 ounces dried figs
  • 8 ounces raisins
  • 8 ounces dried apricots
  • 8 ounces toasted pecans
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. Cut the dried figs and apricots into smaller pieces if needed.
  2. Toast pecans in a dry cast-iron pan until lightly golden. Remove from the heat and let cool.
  3. Place the dried figs, raisins, dried apricots, toasted pecans, salt, and pepper in a food processor. Pulse until finely chopped.
  4. Add the honey and balsamic vinegar. Pulse until the ingredients form a thick, cohesive spread, scraping down the sides as necessary.
  5. Transfer to a clean, airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  6. Serve with cheese and crackers, toasted bread, or use as a filling for homemade bars and other baked treats.
