Oven Baked Sticky Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs Recipe

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 5 lbs. pork spare ribs
  • Parchment paper

Rub for the Ribs:

  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. coarse ground black pepper
  • 1 tbs. sugar

For the Sweet and Sour Sauce:


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine all of the ingredients for the rub in a small bowl and massage into the ribs.
  3. Place the ribs in a baking dish or cast iron frying pan lined with parchment paper and cover with aluminum foil.
  4. Place in the oven and cook, undisturbed, for 1 hour.

For the Sweet and Sour Sauce:

  1. Place the ingredients for the sweet and sour sauce in a small bowl and stir.
  2. Take the ribs from the oven and brush with the sweet and sour sauce.
  3. Place the aluminum foil back over the ribs and place back in the oven for 30 minutes.
  4. After 30 minutes remove the aluminum foil from the ribs and bake again for another 20 minutes uncovered.
  5. Remove from the oven and let rest for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
  6. Prepare another mixture of the sweet and sour sauce to serve with the ribs. Enjoy!
