Ingredients
- 1 tbs. vanilla extract
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup almonds, chopped
- 1 tsp. baking
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- Powdered sugar,for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat Oven 325 F.
- In a large bowl combine the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract and combine until a dough is formed.
- On a floured surface place the dough and cut in half.
- Form both halves into 12 - 15 inch logs.
- Place the logs on a baking sheet prepared with parchment paper.
- Place into the oven and bake for 35 - 40 minutes.
- Take out of the oven and let cool for about 15 minutes.
- Slice into 1/4 inch thickness, on a diagonal, and place flat on the baking sheets.
- Bake for 15 minutes, turning the slices over half way through the baking process.
- Let cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
