Spicy Seafood Marinara with Pasta

Ingredients

For the Seafood:

  • 1 package SeaPak Butterfly Shrimp
  • 1 package SeaPak Popcorn Shrimp
  • 1 package SeaPak Beer Battered Shrimp

For the Sauce:

  • 2 - 28 oz. cans of crushed tomatoes
  • 4 - 5 cloves of garlic - crushed
  • 1/2 cup of fresh Italian parsley - chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tbs. dried oregano
  • 1 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 3 tbs. olive oil
  • 1 lb. of your favorite pasta
  • Grated Romano or Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat a heavy saucepan with the olive oil.
  2. Add garlic and parsley to the pan and sauté until the garlic is fragrant.
  3. Add the crushed tomatoes and seasonings and continue to simmer on a gentle heat for 25 – 30 minutes.
  4. While the sauce is gently simmering prepare the Seapak as directed.
  5. Prepare the pasta as directed
  6. Place the pasta is a large serving bowl.
  7. Add the cooked seafood and the tomato sauce and gently toss.
  8. Drizzle a little olive oil, a few dashes of red pepper flakes, lemon and grated cheese and fresh parsley over the dish and serve.
